theYOUTHcaucus is the High School arm of the
Oregon Bus Project and we are spreading the message that we, as youth, can make a difference. We make up a huge percentage of the Oregon population and together, we have a LOUD VOICE! Working closely with the
Bus Project, our mission is to engage students in the political process
and advocate for the issues that Oregon teens care about. Through visits
to the state capitol, rallies, speaking with politicians and political
leaders, parties, and much more, our job is to ensure that each Oregon
student has a voice that is HEARD and to dispel the myth that changing
the world is just for old people. |

Joining theYOUTHcaucus will give you a chance to influence the future of Oregon. You will be presented with opportunities to strengthen your political advocacy skills, meet important political leaders, and make friends from other Oregon high schools. You'll receive e-mails to inform you of YC sponsored events, issue updates, and upcoming general YC meetings. By signing up to be on a specific committee, you'll be inside the loop invited to our "underground" planning meetings and have opportunities to propose your own ideas for future events. Joining the youth caucus is a great ticket to get you into college, will provide you with fun educational experiences, and offer opportunities to do hands-on political work.
